Removing an eye sore is pretty easy thanks to the Trusted Performance fuel/oil filter housing delete kit. This kit contains a housing cap that redirects the oil down to the frame where it is filtered by a 10 micron filter then to a full flow 3 micron filter and back into the engine.
The oil lines are made up of 4 layers. The inner three layers are bonded during manufacturing. The inner layer is synthetic rubber with a protective sheath of stainless steel braid and finally a synthetic rubber layer over that. The final layer, which is the exterior of the hose, is made of a high tensile stainless steel braided wire. These lines are as tough as they come and are designed to handle temperature ranges from -40° to +300° F.
All hose ends are precision machined. These ends are designed to flow the maximum amount without sacrificing quality or risking cracking or breakage.
Most engine wear is caused from contaminants in the oil that are not filtered by the oil filter. Most major engine manufactures agree that the most damaging particles are between 4 and 10 microns. The problem is that most oil filters don’t filter down to this level.
In addition to the filter not filtering well enough; people adding big horsepower to their engines are adding to the problem. The soot caused from the increased fuel being injected into the cylinder causes even more wear. Well, Trusted Performance has come up with a solution to this. They have come up with a remote oil filter mounting system that has two inline full flow filters that will filter the oil down to 3 microns.
Please note:
Kit includes everything needed to remove the fuel / oil filter housing. This kit does not address the fuel lines at all. If the vehicle doesn’t have an aftermarket fuel system, please contact us. We can make the fuel lines and add a 3 micron fuel filter to the system for you.
